Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act

 The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with rights regarding how your data or personal information is treated. Under the legislation, California residents can choose to opt out of the "sale" of their personal information to third parties. Your Rights Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA)

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), enacted in 2023, provides you with rights regarding how your personal data is treated. Under this legislation, Indian residents have the right to control the collection, use, and sharing of their personal information. The DPDPA defines personal data as "any data that relates to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, through identifiers such as name, identification number, location data, or online identifiers."

 

Your Rights as a Data Principal

As a "Data Principal" (the individual to whom the personal data relates), you have the right to:

1.  Be informed about the processing of your personal data

2.  Access your personal data

3.  Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data

4.  Withdraw consent for data processing

5.  Request deletion of your personal data when it's no longer needed

6.      Object to the sharing of your personal data with third parties
